Dead or Alive
« on: December 15, 2024, 15:59. »
:-\    Got a letter today from DWP  (dept of work and pensions) i now have to prove that i am alive. I now have to go cap in hand to find someone who is superior to me to fill in the form to confirm i am alive. If i had not recieved the letter (as happens with other post like birthday cards etc) my pension would be stopped after 16 weeks. They recommend i return the reply by air mail but the letter they sent was bog standard post. I dont know if they are choosing people at random or if all pensioners will be notified but keep a lookout for your post. Just need to find a (SUITABLE PERSON) now.

I had this with one of my private pensions, I took the form to my UK doctors surgery with my passport and one of the staff checked my credentials,  signed and stamped the letter and it was done.
