Banco Sabadell email

We received an email from Sabadell saying asking for update of information on identity, financial standing and threatening quote 'to apply operational income restrictions to our account' whatever that means. At first I thought it was a scam but our legal rep says it isn't. Problem is we are in UK so can't call in and it is impossible to speak to anyone or make appointment for when we are in Spain from 29 August. Anyone else had problem. We have had account 22 years.

We have had an account for 21 years and back in January we received an email from Sabadell asking for proof of our professional standing in the UK and that if we did not put a document proving this into a shared folder in the account then within 2 months I think they said, then our account would be limited and if we did not do it after a further 1 month they would cancel our bank account. It was quite a curt, no messing message. After Googling to try and find out if this was genuine and what they wanted, we finally got a letter from the Pension Office to prove that we were pensioners in receipt of a state pension and I uploaded it onto our bank account. No idea if it was the correct documentation as when I have looked into the account, it does not look as if it has even been acknowledged although our account is still active.

Same thing happened to me. Went into branch in April with documentation which was copied
Have now received two further emails requesting evidence and made two calls to bank in Spain only to be told no evidence of documentation in my file!

I have had one of these, had an account for 20years, tried to follow there instructions but got lost, not Too good on computer, but we have put our apartment up for sale, not out while 20 August, how do you prove you are retired

I've had same email and went into bank yesterday to make an appointment. Was told that you could only come in between 8:30 to 11 am so going back on Monday.  Was told that everyone in bank has received same email and was told that if you didn't respond an envelope will be sent to you home address for you to send documents back. Still can't understand why documents are needafter 21 years. Only ever had to give updated passport details previously

Spoke to a friend here in York who sold their house last year but still have a small amount in their bank account and they received the same email. It's a plague of emails.
