Taxi from Airport

Just a question out of curiosity. Have been getting taxi from Airport for the last couple of occasions and I only travel with a small back pack. Every occasion taxi driver has encouraged us to put back pack into boot of car. On arrival to house taxi driver adds approx €4 manually on to meter. Is this a supplement for using boot of taxi. Just curious

It might be I paid €23 to GA it’s what was in the meter he didn’t add anything I had a backpack but kept it in car

We took an airport taxi last week at 2am 4 persons and 6 bags cost was €19. Unusually the queue was huge the whole length of the front took over an hour to get to the front.

€20 euros is what I've been paying and to be honest I'm happy to pay as have paided more a number of years ago .

In all fairness all the “local” drivers charge at least €20 for airport run. Whilst we had a rental car the €40 out of hours charge and the associated nonsense of inspecting etc late at night makes a taxi an easy option then return to the airport via the bus later in the week.

Got Taxi from Airport on Tues morning and meter reading at house €14.20 and €4.40 was added manually. Driver was very friendly and said €4.40 was standard Airport supplement.  Which is understandable. Still found it very reasonable

I have always found over 15 year's 20-24 euro was the price I paid, yes there was always a slight different between clock & what he charged , depending where u  lived in G.A there was bound to be different charges.  The problem was finding a legal taxi to take u to take u back to airport,then 25-30 euro was the norm .
