How can the itv news in the uk say the the shooting of the old couple was in Alicante on the Costa del Sol. Should know better.

Alicante is not only the name of the city but also of the province....

Why is Alicante airport called Alicante and not Elche, even though it lies in the municipality of Elche? Same question, same reply.

Why is Warwick University called Warwich and not Coventry, even though it lies in the municipality of Coventry? Same question, same reply.

Regarding Costa del Sol I suppose they looked at the sun and thought ... oh well ... what the heck ...

Dreadful story feel sorry for all family

Benidorm and xalo are both in alicante province which is clearly on the Costa blanca not Costa del sol

Also alicante airport is now officially know as the Alicante - elche airport and even has new signs up on the glass to prove it and is Murcia province
