Yes, still open (but not on Mondays) and with same owners.  Still my favourite chippy!

Still my favourite chippy!
In fairness isn't it also the ONLY chippy this side of Benidorm?

Has anyone in this thread been to Ray's in Benidorm - The ORIGINAL one in the old town. I think they are absolutely superb, and would love to hear a comparison between them and Derby's. Because if I have a local chippy that is in the same league, I'll head over there tomorrow.

Frankly, and somewhat worryingly, I've ignored them solely (no pun intended) on the fact that they are in GA :(

Whilst we love and embrace Spanish cuisine in all its forms, we also like Darbys. In my 50 or so years ive tried many a chippy in the uk and have to say Darbys is pretty good. Its reasonably priced good quality takeaway food. A slice of Britain plonked in the corner of Masa square. And before the armchair activists respond Mr Darby does not offer me extra chips to promote his business. Ps his curry sauce is also scrummy.
They dont like it up em !
