Damaged Water Valve - House Water Supply
« on: December 01, 2015, 01:27. »
Hello All.

We have a property at 3.2G.  Recently the Gas Company installed a supply to our neighbours next door.  During this installation there was a burst to the water pipes in our street.  We were not in Spain at the time.  We were told that the gas installers damaged these pipes and had to repair them following the burst.  When I returned to Spain 12th November we had no water supply to our house. After lots of enquiries with neighbours we discovered this situation.  I inspected the Valves in the pavement and our Inlet Valve has been snapped off.  Aquavest Levante came out three days later and refused to repair it as they had not damaged it.  Jose, our President has sent a very sharp and to the point  E Mail to the Gas Company threatening to have the Gas Supply removed as it was installed without permission. He demanded  that they repair the damage.  To date we still have no water to our home. I was unable to shower or flush toilets etc whilst there without the use of buckets from the neighbour !!!!. I had to return to England leaving this as it was.  It appears that I will have to do this repair myself. Is there anyone within our Community that would be willing to assist me or indeed carry out the task of replacing the Valve.  It seems that  it will require turning off the supply to our immediate neighbours temporarily and a new valve fitted.  Any help will be gratefully received if we cannot force this Wretched Gas Company to do it.  I will willingly fly out to get this sorted quickly. Many Thanks
Brian

Have you tried JoseLuis, the administrator?
He has had many dealings with Gasnatural who seem to ride roughshod with installations without permissions.
Are you on a main community street or an internal private to 3.2G street?
Where we have had some previous issues with this company, it has come down to the home owners house insurance company to take up the cause.
(I'm in Cornwall now for the winter, but I was president for 6 years so have dealt with this previously.  If you want to PM me, we could talk on the phone.)
My sympathies for the hassle you have.
