One of our Spanish neighbours has just told us about an incident that happened about 1.00pm this afternoon.
Whilst the holiday makers were out, apparently a couple of Moroccans broke into one of the pink houses in Meditteraneo on Avenida Polonia, using knives to gain access. A neighbour raised the alarm and the burglars made their escape in a White Berlingo. The Guardia Civil blocked off the N332 and the coast road to Santa Pola but it looks like they missed the *******s.
There have also been at least 4 incidents, in the last couple of days, of thefts from cars belonging to parents who were dropping their children off at the school.
A another reminder not to be complacent.
