Airport to GA,  just use the the taxi rank at the airport.
GA to airport, Elvis won't let you down....and he's legal.

Whilst we rent cars on most visits we don’t tend to during July and August anymore, the cost is excessive, we don’t make much use of it as it’s hot and the kids want to spend the day in the pool, you can’t park anywhere, our favourite places being Arenales, SP, Guardamar and Alicante are gridlocked. What we do is use the buses and taxis to get around spending around 30€ a week which is significantly less than the €250 to rent, we’ve also got lots of good neighbours who drop us places if we’re stuck,

Good advise Wilson, we have used the buses, tram for 15 years, they are so cheap, & you meet new friends on your travels.

I think having a rental car is seen as a necessity which if your a visitor to the area going out sightseeing is part of your holiday, after 20 years in GA we’ve travelled extensively from Barcelona down to Marbella. We enjoy shanks pony or get the bikes out. We walk frequently from the GA centre to the far end to Arenales a few pitstops along the way, then if we’re not fancying the walk back we jump on the bus and it drops us back at Lidl.
