Good place to buy a couple of TV’s
« on: January 30, 2022, 19:47. »
Hey guy’s, I own a house on av Carabassi. I’m popping over with a pal in a couple of weeks to do a couple of jobs and get the place ready for my family to visit this year. On my list of things to get is a coupe of flat screen TV’s. Nothing flash - just the sort of thing I would pick up in the local Asda at home. Is there anywhere else other than Euronics to go and get a TV?

Plenty of places, including MediaMarkt, Corte Ingles, ... mostly Media Markt.... but I tell you what. They won't deliver it, install it, tune it and take the old one away. They won't tell you how the remote works a month later, and they won't say good morning when you go for a coffee. They might be €20 cheaper, but they won't give you the sense of satisfaction of supporting local business. Don't go out for hamburger, when you have steak at home! In my opinion.

Got a decent cheapish flatscreen from Carrefour, Santa Pola has a reasonable range otherwise Alicante or Torrevieja for a wider selection

When did they take over from Eroski? Ofcourse, before that it was Caprabo. It does seem to change hands a lot for a supermarket.

Agree with Gaveteran, having bought many things from the big boys ie Carrefore, Leroy and even Amazon etc over the years, they might have a big selection to view and might have some deals, but delivery can be a challenge and isn’t free. No unboxing, installing and tuning and most importantly when it goes wrong it’s a short walk to Euronics speak with Pablo and he will send one of the boys round to have a look, if it’s under warranty he will sort it if it’s not he can get it sorted. You get none of this with the others as we and many others have found. Whilst the Euronics shop doesn’t carry a vast selection if you go online the choice is vast and can be easily obtained. They even take your old appliance away which saves you dumping it by empty bins during the night. Personally I try to support local businesses others like saving €2.
