Mask Wearing

Mask wearing in shops and on public transport is pretty much 100% but mask wearing in the street is not popular, I would say 40% of people don't wear them in the streets although I think it's still compulsory around the GA area.

Have to disagree there Kevin, was in Santa Pola town, El Altet and Alicante (central) this week and mask wearing in the street has got to be 98%. It was "jarring" to see anyone without a mask, the few I saw ere "a group of youngsters with a skateboard" (shocking haha), a glamorous lady that just didn't seem to feel like it and looked like she heralded from St Petersburg, maybe five people smoking....  honestly that was about it. I was in Alicante for four or five hours. Obviously not counting people eating and drinking on terraces, of which there were not many (Antarctic now for the Spanish of course haha)

I’ve been really impressed with the Spanish people throughout 2021 for doing what needs to be done, I’m sure many don’t see the logic but just do as they are asked. Every supermarket 100% compliance, at the Repsol someone sauntered in without a mask and was berated by the cashier and customers. Even the Wilsons were asked to leave the Chicken man over the centre when we unwittingly exceeded the 2 customers only rule. Whenever someone in the Uk asks what’s Spain like I say absolutely brilliant unlike the selfish brits who quite frankly are an embarrassment.

Agree, in shops everyone is wearing masks, today we walked the prom at Urbanova and mask wearers were the minority, suprisingly a lot of the older generation weren't wearing them.

hi ALL
the people who are NOT wearing masks are not Spanish or people living here,, some of my Scandinavian neighbours were telling me its not required for us as our Governments say not needed, for them!! UNFORTUNATLY the visitors from British Isles also in "my opinion" think the same please respect the Spanish rules we are guests here Jim Roberts

Well the people walking at Urbanova the other day were Spanish, I think we were the only English walking along the prom, I'm not making judgements , I'm just commenting on what I see, we are observing the ruling re masks.
