today is the date of decease of Cervantes and of Shakespeare (thanks to the difference in calendar   :-)  and the day men usually give their women a book and a rose - at least in Spain and in particular in Cataluña ...

Not too late to download a book for your kindle or from iBook to give it   :-)
And roses well ... you can always say they have ran out of them in the supermarket   :-)
