Ryanair flight to Bristol 23.09.21 Approx 09.00

[Blue and white stripes]

As we boarded for Birmingham from the next gate to the staff on the Bristol flight had obviously barred a young lad, 18/19 ish from boarding. His mates had all got on. He was sitting by the gate on his suitcase, feverishly typing on his phone, presumably doing a locator form or something. Anyone got any idea what happened and did he make the flight?
(This is why I always get my docs checked at check-in and not at the departure gate -  it gives two hours to sort out any problems)

I upload all documents to Ryanairs website and print off copies, we were checked at the gate but was a brief look by the staff.
