After waiting six weeks for my refund from Ryanair for the cancelled December flights I initiated a claim via Resolver last night. This morning I received a reply saying the refund will be with me in 5-7 working days.
I have used Resolver several times in disputes against Talk Talk, Virgin, Together Energy and Ryanair and have always been successful.

I had to wait a few months for refunds for last April's flights. However for the last 4 flights I had booked with Ryanair which were cancelled I received cash refunds or vouchers very quickly. Last flights cancelled December 22 and received their email with options. I didn't do anything until January 2nd. Had booked two separate legs and wanted one voucher and one cash back, (I wanted to see which I would get first). Had emails back within 24 hours confirming the voucher for one flight and also advising that cash would be back in account for other flight within 7 days. Funds credited to my account January 8th. I rang their contact number on each occasion and surprise, surprise, my call was taken very quickly by polite representatives. In all cases where I have telephoned and looked for refund / voucher I was very happy with outcomes - this to me is the reason I got such a quick response. Have re-booked flights for later in the year.

By the way, I do not take the option of changing flight as offered in the email cancellation advice. I always look for voucher/cash refund. The reason for this is that the price you will pay for the 'change' appears to be based on the normal fare. If you get refund/voucher you will be able to avail of offers.

I used Resolver for a ppi  claim and they were excellent. I think from the get go Ryanair has knowingly and deliberately ducked and dived there obligations under the rules/law. On some flights of ours they have been so helpful and others dragged on for months with it all getting unnecessarily messy. I’ve always thought  Oleery was a bully. Are people aware that APD the tax added to flights at time of purchase is only paid to HMRC on the day you travel. So no flight then airline doesn’t pay HRMC the money.Reports suggest that hundreds of millions that was collected in 2019 was simply kept by the airlines which apparently they can keep unless the customer asks for it back. Also some insurance payouts won’t always include the tax. Most airlines give it back without too much hassle whereas Ryanair put a time limit and charge an admin fee which can be surprise surprise as much as the tax back. The man is a charlatan.

No charge that I recall, not quite sure if or how they make any money, the guy who runs it is sometimes on bbc radio, a bit of a Martin Lewis character.
