Interesting.

All the houses were nice. But I could tell within the first 5 minutes they weren't going to buy. Expectations far exceeded their budget. If I didnt know better I would have said that was a deliberate waste of time just to get on the TV.

Every-time Jasmine gave them what they asked for they said they loved it and then in the end they walked away. Shame for the owners who had to facilitate the tyre kickers !

(just my view anyway)

Just watched the programme, and have to agree.

Husband couldn't accompany her so she took her sister.  Husband would agree with any choice she made she said !!!!

No intention of buying at all - just a little holiday for free.

That program really annoys me....the estate agents always seem prepared to announce very early that the property owners are open to a deal....so much for representing the seller!!

Some of the offers being made when people do decide to buy are downright insulting in my view.....it does leave Joe Public thinking of buying their dream home in the sun that big reductions are to be had when buying.

I know when we were selling it made my blood boil.

Regards all

John.

Especially as the house (around our 3.2g pool) was listed at €129.950 - and still is but is now sold anyway

It was announced that it was for sale on the show at €114,000 with room for negotiation .... What ?

Hi Beach Life

Was it not in GBP when they said the price which at the exchange rate would have made the price correct?

John I couldn't agree with you more!

'We love the house and would pay the price of xxxxx but want to try an offer of xxxxx minus yyyyy' The presenter then repeats this offer to the agent who should immediately pick up on the 'try' word.  Nope - more often or not the low, insulting offer gets accepted.

Can you imagine how the seller feels watching that back when the programme is aired???

Their loss is your gain. Cracking house Dave C

I am gong to have the same glass "window" on the solarium front wall done myself. I understand its "Nicko" the builder who did that (and your kitchen) - looks a great job.

Well done on your purchase !

To be honest i stopped watching it  and the uk equivalent years ago unless its somewhere im interested in. The programme attracts the usual tyre kickers and time wasters. Everyones budget is never enough to meet there requirements, i think very few actually end with a final exchange of contracts, with were just popping back to the uk to consider our options. A friend of mine runs an agency near calpe, he said years ago that most decent agents stopped working with the production company because it was endless days of unpaid work with no sale or free advertising.
The programme last night when the local expert ( who in 20 years ive never seen) talked about table top dancing and benidorm trips, spare me please is that all she had to offer. They need to stop these 15 minute of famers and get one of the many real locals who can promote the best of spanish living without mentioning chips or cheap beer.

I'm not knocking the places, but I wouldn't want to live or stay in either of them, but her budget, expectations and dreams of a  "life in the sun" would have been more suited to La Marina or one of Torreviejas ghettos.

Interesting I’ve had my place now for 20 years and I didn’t recognise the local expert either.

Does anyone actually know her ? No one I know appears to
