We are currently with Bankia and they have a monthly account charge of 14 euros plus a cc charge of 28 euros pa..This sounds excessive to me ,am I correct or is it pretty standard. All we have is the community charge, water and electric plus cc charges when we are over in Spain
Comments would be appreciated.

I bank with BBVA and I have zero fees and just get charged for my debit card which is 26 Euros a year. All online but they have a branch in GA.

Never had a problem with them.

Goodness that’s even more than Sabadell!
Absolute rip off if the only bills are running costs as you describe.
I have mentioned before look at Starling.  So far so good I have all the utilities and community charge being paid. I am hoping that the Suma will go through smoothly it must be due soon.
Can use their card for purchases, not a credit card, the only thing I’ve not had a chance to try due to Covid is cash from a machine. To be honest in January a few euros from the exchange office opposite the health centre was sufficient used the card most of the time. Plus you can control everything from the UK and a few pence interest on the sterling account every month.
