I see on another forum that smoking is to be banned in Spain in areas outside bars and restaurants where social distancing cannot ensure a 2 meter distance. I suppose the law that requires people to wear face mask when outside must make it difficult for smokers anyway. What a shame!!!

Or maybe there'll be a spike in self-combustion cases :'(

Whilst not a smoker I do think this will be another nail in the coffin for many bars plus the no entrance after midnight.
Not just English owned bars but look outside any Spanish bar at any time and most are smoking.

I'm not a smoker and support no smoking in bars  but have no objections at all against people smoking outside, it's an erosion of peoples rights curtailing outdoor smoking, i like a few beers ( more than a few sometimes) but there are people who would like my indulgence stopped, where does it all end.

I think some bars have bought this on themselves, i was under the impression that smoking inside was illegal, now some bars also have a area which is outside but has a rear wall, a retractable roof and sides, when roof and sides are back its an outside area, but they then shut them up especially in cooler months and the outside becomes part of the inside with people still smoking. The owner should ask them to move outside of the outside now inside area but rarely do. Personally i think smoking is a dirty habit but also appreciate some people enjoy it, i just dont enjoy them sharing it with me.

According to latest decrees as reported on N332 Facebook, all amateur singers, karaoke etc now banned for 3 weeks. Also cocktail bars, late night establishments all must shut for 3 weeks. NOt sure in Kevin etc in Masa square are licensed professionals but I suspect not!

Not sure how many establishments will last with all these restrictions with the Spanish economy sinking even more.
