Ceiling fans

Hi
I know this topic has been spoken about before but new models come out all the time so can anyone recommend good quiet ceiling fans. Mine are now rattling and useless basically. Time to start splashing the cash. Also has anyone bought a cooler unit ?- the ones where you basically put an ice pack in the base.  I looked in Leroys but they were quite big and not sure how noisy they would be.  Thanks

I bought a cooler unit in Leroy merlin about 2 years ago it is very good no noisy at all. You just put your water in it upto the fill mark & then you put the freezer pack in it . Only down side it doesn’t cool the room down but it will cool the area wherever you are pointing it.Another good thing is you don’t need a hose with it.

One of my ceiling fans got noisy, I sprayed the bearing with a non oil lubricant and it's quiet now.

We bought ours from Leroy Merlins, 3 speed, timer, different sizes depending on room size and very quiet.

for me ceiling fans are a waste of tim got mine from carrefour ...unless you stand on a chair diirectly underneath it no benefit got a free standing fan got more benefit, of course aircon is best but more expensive.
people who live in glass houses should undress in the dark !

Always found our ceiling fans very effective, need a size of fan appropriate to the room size though.

Bought one three weeks ago from Euronics remote control very pleased with it,the problem with buying one now is it's the end of the season there's not much choice .We looked in most of the big stores Leroy Merlin,Aki etc and were told most of 2019 stock had gone if you can wait until spring you will have a greater choice.
