Nova Beach?
« on: April 02, 2015, 15:50. »
Hi Everyone,
I've been to Gran Alacant a few times but have opted to book an apartment in Nova Beach due to the wifi being provided and for a change.
I've booked through Home and Away, signed a contract but not paid a deposit due to it being close to the booking and the money not sending through from the UK. Despite it looking like a legitimate booking, its dealing with the owner direct on arrival (not an agent) who wants cash (fine) and a high breakages deposit (fine). Knowing the area, ordinarily I would just travel and see what awaits me but today I've had my personal details stolen and some money taken from my bank account. So I'm now nervous and looking for how my details could have been compromised.I havent shared any financial details but my name and address was given.
Does anyone know much of the renters in Nova Beach? The apartment appears to have some bookings later in the year but we look to be the first. I know most people would pay up front and we haven't paid as yet so protected I guess but I just feel nervous.
Thanks for any comments/help.

Hi there, no idea if it's legit or not......I would have thought if it wasn't legit they'd have taken a chunky deposit and would have left you stranded in GA with no accommodation
Alicante Holiday Villas have some of the best property in GA on their books, I know a lot have wifi and you can rest assured that they won't rip you off in any way.

Thank you so much for the kind reply John.
I am going to try and speak to the owner before travelling. I am sure it is all fine - and very excited. Hope the weather is better than here
