The company has to be a member but I got a full refund from firefly after a complaint for charges for damage that was already there , there is a flip down box after you click register a complaint as long as they or the parent company appear you can use it

Friends who recently stayed with us rented through this company when collecting the car they had to pay two lots of insurance or the rep would not let them take the car and on returning the car to the airport where told they would have to pay 120 euros for a car clean as they had brought it back with some sand on the car mats! My friend then emptied the mats in front of the rep and said now there is no sand! And refused to pay. How is this company getting away with such practices.

I remember a long time ago being told by the Record rep that the petrol we leave in the tank helps pay for the bumps and scratches they don't charge you for. How things have changed.

As mentioned  earlier we used Drivalia. From the experience I had I would highly recommend.   Shuttle bus was waiting at airport and we were driving off in our hire car within 20 mins. On return we just dropped the car off and the bus took us back. That took 15 mins.  No inspection as we had paid the extra insurance. Nice friendly customer service.   My son on the other hand uses OK cars.  They would not accept Amex as a credit card so he has to pay an extra 150 euros to use his debit card, was there over an hour and the staff were rude. When he told them of the good service we had received they told him to use someone else next time. Not a good start to his holiday especially with his wife being 6 months pregnant and with a toddler under 2

We have just collected car from gold car, arrived Saturday afternoon so very busy but plenty of staff on to process. We had car within 15 minutes,no argument about insurance which we never take, very friendly service and free upgrade provided.
We personally have not had much problems with them , certainly since europacar bought them.
