Hi Kevin, I still receive updates from a few of the Spanish Facebook groups, the state of the bin areas is a regular topic of conversation, a few weeks ago it seems complaints to the ayuntamiento resulted in a bit of a clean up, the latest contributions and photos indicate that some residents treat the bin area as the local tip, not even attempting to place their refuse in the bin.
Complete lack of pride in the area they live in.
I feel so sorry for the folk whose homes are in the vicinity of the bins, heaven knows how they will ever sell them.

Regards all

John

It is sad John, the only way is to hit people in their wallet, start fining people with big fines, walking to the Carabassi tonight I threw a load of bags in one of the bins that were sitting in the road next to it. Hope you are well.

This is the bit that annoys me the most, more often than not when i take our rubbish down there will be bags left beside the bins, bags which somebody couldn't be bothered to lift the lid and put inside! Apart from these bags of general/kitchen waste, quite often there are bags of plastic bottles or drinks cans and the only reason I can think of for not putting those inside is that the bag won't fit through the hole! Clearly too much effort to open the bag again and feed the items in.
