Diginova Dish
« on: February 01, 2019, 19:58. »
I have a recently installed Diginova dish & I have lost two channels. Travel channel & travel channel +1. Diginova charge 20 Euros to come out & retune. Anyone else lost these channels & how easy it is to retune? Where can I get instructions to help with this & how often does it happen. Also how do you find out the new frequency?

Thanks with any help.

George the good news its easily sorted, the type of dish fitted is of no issue, if you still have reception of the the other channels then no dish adjustment. Channels do move frequency, there is usually a warning several days prior which pops up saying channel is moving on this date so retune,it usually says where its going. My receiver does both manual and auto tune i prefer manual as an auto can sometimes cause havoc with other channels. Mr google will normally tell you where to find the channel, receivers are all a bit different but again just google yours and there should be a pdf booklet or a you tube video. Alternatively the nice Mr diginova will sort it out every few months, its not his fault the channels move so i suppose nothings free.

Ian

When the channels disappear do you manually retune or auto. I have not been able to track down a user manual for my GI HD Slim receiver so far.

Wilson

That was my first port of call. I can see the model but can’t bring up a pdf user manual. Will try again later.
Thanks.

Thanks for the info. The reason I could not download the pdf was because I was using my iPad. The site required a later version of adobe. I tried on my laptop it gave me an error message of bad gateway. Try again this evening.

Travel channel is now dmax . Just a suggestion uk freesat box will retune you channels automatically. So no need to retune also freesat has full 7 day epg. Manhattan freesat box costs about 40 pounds for bacic type. When setting up just use a uk postcode for preferred area channels.  Hope this helps

Thanks Paublo. I am still having problems retuning so I may consider the Manhattan box.
