Bought a new TV socket from the Brico at the GA centre today cost €9.5 but good quality, die cast aluminum construction, TV picture rock solid now, seems the socket was corroded probably due to our house being unoccupied and unheated over winter, worth replacing if you get picture breakup.

Remarkable improvement in TV signal quality after changing wall TV socket, bought from Bricolage at GA centre, coat €9.5 so wasn't cheap but good quality,  we have a Freesat system that's down converted and placed on the normal TV cable back bone that goes to our houses, noticed that in the evening some channel's were breaking up, replacing socket has cured this, had corrosion inside the socket. Worth trying if you suffer similar problems.
