Urgent car insurance advice
« on: June 11, 2018, 18:35. »
Had a bit of a prang earlier today when I scraped a parked car - police attended and took all details, pictures etc, what happens now? Does the other persons insurance company contact mine or do I have to inform my own that I have been in some sort of accident even though the other party might not bother to claim for superficial damage - what are the rules in Spain?

I would inform your insurance company.
I'm surprised Police turned up to a damage only prang, mind you the Police here do seem very underemployed, unlike our poor overworked Police.

Agree with other replies always best practice to inform your insurance company,  you can never second guess levels of damage, the times ive heard a bit of t cut will sort that dent out.
