Rental nightmare!
« on: August 24, 2017, 12:55. »
I am trying to find a nice long term rental property for myself and my family.

We have been massively let down by a rental company this week.

Ideally 3 bed but 2 will be fine, ground floor apartment of house within GA.

If anyone can help or knows of any available soon please get in touch.

I'm always surprised when I see a house for sale that is also a rental property still taking bookings.......if a sale  goes through there will be a lot of disappointed customers if the new property owner does not want to rent their property out
I would hope that reputable agents would not accept bookings on a property that they know is for sale

Regards all

John

We don't handle long term rentals, only short term holiday lets MApatt, but there are many agencies in GA that do, hope you find something soon.

And totally agree with you John, unfortunately ever year we get last minute enquiries from people who have been let down for this very reason..........

Someone i know that comes every year to the same apt had booked his flights for his family of four only to be told that the owner had since sold the house so he had then had to try to sort alternative accomodation in August of all months !!

Just to echo Angie's point I know someon who used OP to rent his place out - they took a bit of a cut but were very organised. Give them a try for long term rentals

In my experience OP are cowboys, they have managed next doors property for several years but when issues arise with theyre tenents causing problems they show no interest. We arrived one holiday to find our shared gate hanging off, it was fine when we left weeks earlier, OP said prove it was our tenent.

Wow Victor really? Which branch was it?  We have used Algorfa and Gran Alacant and never had a problem, anything wrong Vernon was round within a day unless an emergency I am sorry they let you down.  They do take a cut off the rental about 45/50€ but they have never failed us

Im sure OP provide an excellent service to the guy who owns next door, sadly the carnage left by the tenents and the cost of repairs is always met by me, not OP nor the owner or the tenent who has long since gone. In fact the only thing that made OP move was repeated calls to the police by other neighbours fed up with tenents. We always directed policia to the office, must of really hacked OP off.

I'm sure in the tenancy agreement will
be something along the lines of "We are not responsible for the behaviour of the tenants"
I'm sure they just passed on your complaints to the owners like I would. I rent property out in the U.K. and received a complaint via the agency who said it wasn't their problem.

Your no doubt right, we came over easter and the tenent had tried to fix a washing line to my cimney, under the weight of washing it had pulled fixings out along with plaster, im left with tenent gone, owner not seen in 10 years and OP shrugging there shoulders and me left with tge bill.

I had a terrible rental nightmare with OP, in Gran Alacant. I would never recommend this company to anyone. Totally disorganised, filthy villa, filthy pool. I have lived here many years and seen property companies come and go, some good some really not!!!! OP is definitely a NOT.

I sympathise Victor, in your situation I would be requesting the details of the owner from OP group or make sure the place never got rented again, I wonder if they have a Tenant Deposit Scheme.......probably not.
