Free papers and magazines in ga are a bit like those pointless tv channels where every 3 minutes there's an advert trying to convince you to buy something you never knew you needed. I just go to the tabac shop and buy one to read. The readers of freebies are probably the same ones who queued at the lidl opening for a free hot dog. Its called being tight where i come from. Lifes to short go on treat yourself.

I didn't realise that the mainstream tabloids reported on what's happening around ga ,Santa Pola & surrounding areas,that's good to know.At least now I know when I am not over in GA I can go & buy the sun over in in Belfast & read about what's happening.Thanks for the info Victor

Deary me why do people post sarcastic answers.
At what point do i mention mainstream tabloids ?
Whats the link with Belfast unless the distribution of the GA advertiser extends to the shankhill road and unless things have changed in spain since last week there are many paid for spanish papers which cover this whole area, and if you cant be bothered to read spanish there's even the costa blanca news. Get a grip son.

I'll confess to picking up the free sheets.
The crosswords and sudoku puzzles help pass 45 minutes whilst sat in the garden
It's also good to read passenger numbers at Alicante airport are ahead of last years, that we are in for a bumper orange crop, that the mayor of somewhere I don't know is under investigation for giving his nephew the refuse contract and that the nephew is tipping all the refuse in a farmers field, that the police in Denia have bought five new mopeds, that property prices are rising at their fastest rate since the recession, that a gang of prolific burglars in Marina Alta have been apprehended, that four bags of hashish have been washed ashore in Guardamar, that the council in Torrevieja have cleared the drains in readiness of the winter rains and that Eve in Playa Flamenca is still offering an unhurried personal service to mature gentlemen.
In all fairness, one of the free sheets, I can't remember the name, isn't a bad paper, it's like a slightly abridged CBN
The hot dog at Lidl wasn't worth the 10 second queue, but hey, who refuses a free hot dog and beer, the bag for life is still however going strong and has a few years left in it.

the only freebe i get is the euro news from ''old maxcoop'' thursday before 10.00am (all gone after then) its a good read with all tv for the week plus the finance page.

Actually the ga advertiser does extend to the shankill road because that's where I read it on the free app when not in Spain.As for for posting sarcastic answers a forum member asked a question about one of the free papers it was u that posted a sarcastic answer ,so no u get a grip son.

Agree John and I dont think its being tight at all to pick up a freebie.  I would say its a case of pot and kettle when it comes to the sarcasm!!
