GA MARKET

The Thursday Market is a mixture of stalls, fruit and veg, linens, toys, handbags shoes etc so as you say a "professional" market. There is a "car boot " type market called Rastro every 3rd Sunday of the month. Hope this helps.

I spoke to a stall holder at La Marina market (which I prefer as the veg is cheaper),and she said it was very hard to get onto the GA market, as its over subscribed.

For the car boot sale at the market which is every third Sunday of the month, you can book your place by phoning Maria 609932578, its only about 3 euros a space to get rid off all your unwanted goods.

Must say the market was busy when we went out in January.

Ive never quite seen the attraction of buying poor quality goods and knock offs where the price starts high and even when your still over paying you strike a deal and tell all your friends about how you beat the stall holder down and got a bargain.
They dont like it up em !

Gran Alacant market is every Thursday morning up past Altomar II on Avnda Escandanavia and Santa Pola is on Monday mornings (smaller market) and the big one is every Saturday morning.

For Santa Pola market, head down the N332, take the first Santa Pola exit, down to the roundabout, take first exit. At the next roundabout (by McDonalds) find somewhere to park and you can't miss it!  At all markets please take care of handbags etc though.

Elche on a Sunday morning takes some beating.  It's around the football stadium, & has most if not all of the usual market stalls.  Good prices too.
