Morning Barry, we went up to the market on Thursday morning, I've got to say all those who predicted doom and gloom regarding the markets relocation have been proven wrong.

They were doing good business and there were plenty of traders there.

Regards all

John

So pleased people are enjoying the Thursday market. Today was the car boot type market, every 3rd Sunday in the month. Took a lovely picture of a certificate on the British Legion stall. Picture attached

Not at all, just been up to get some oranges, very busy.
The folk on Calle Canarias didn't have to get up at the crack of dawn to shift their cars either and didn't have to endure a day of noise and filth either, win win really

Win,win for the contractors ...lose,lose for the taxpayer John ...remind me how much it cost ? And how many contractors were paid ....and how much it cost an another urbanisation to gate their community ?
John you could build a new Market on the central reservation of the N332 and those who make it alive will still buy some dust covered oranges you could buy cheaper in Mercerdona ..but it doesn't make it the correct decision or prove me and others wrong.

Wise move John ...however you could wash over the facts and details of the building of this Market as much as you like but it won't come up smelling of roses.

It's done, it's been debated Ian, it is what it is, it's up and it's trading, Miguel fulfilled his promise to to the residents of one street.
Last post from me on the subject as all we end up doing is repeating ourselves

If you lived here Luton, perhaps you would appreciate things more.
Too many people only come out here now and again,
us who live here full time, see everything happening day by day.
For example, some ask for more transport,
but if you watch the bus and the train riding around empty so many times during the winter,
it is amazing that they can still afford to provide the service they do.

Sorry Ian, I must reply and put history straight.
An expensive relocation, I never disagreed
You predicted that the market would not not be a success in the new location, in that you are wrong.
We have a vibrant little market and appears to be doing very well, not a wasteland of Tarmac
