Hire car problems, no more paper license

Just heard there are problems when hiring cars, as you need a temporary code instead of your paper license that only lasts for 3 days!

Must admit read this today and spoke to a gentleman on my flight in today
He went onto the web site got the code and saw him after he had got his car.
He said he had no issues and got his car straight away.

I assume a few people have forgot to get their codes and then had an issue
