Shopping for a parasol for the roof terrace. Any recommendations?
The previous owner has left a ceramic base. Is this likely to fit all
makes? I'm a bit wary about going to the Gabe Market, as I've found their
customer advice to be almost non-existent (IMO).

We prefer to go to the Chinese shop up the hill on the same side of the road as the banks and find them helpful and pleasant.

The staff in the other 2 Chinese shops are normally on their mobile phones and it seems rude to interrupt them.  Although they are good at ringing stuff through the till without breaking off their conversations.

If you want cheap and cheerful then Chinese shops are ye best bet but if you want a more substantial and better quality brolly then Leroy Merlin or Brico Depot will be a better option
