Hi I've been reading that a swam of mosquitos are about to hatch due to the latest storm !, is there any sign of them in GA ?
We were out just before and during the last storm and everybody was getting bitten. Back out in a few weeks and wondered if I need to bring some protection,

Steve

We are in Arenales and it’s awful. Hopefully by the time you get out things will be better. Bring plenty of spray with deet. I have been bitten through my clothes so spray everywhere. Maybe GA isn’t so bad being higher.

There is a shortage so I would advise you bring some. Better safe than sorry. Something with deet is best.

Mountain wearhouse do and 50 and a 100% deet in 60 ml size. I’m sure amazon sell it in that size also. We use it in the Caribbean.

Yes they are definitely here  :(

Best repellent we have found by far is Goibi Xtrem - sold in the pharmacy in GA and they have it in stock as we bought some more yesterday! Haven't had a single bite!

Hi What do they charge for it ?   I looked up the average lifespan of mossies and its between 10/15 days but females can live 1 month and looking at the amount of standing water around this problem is going to be with us for some time.

Went up to the Farmacia this morning to get some of the Goibi spray.  Sold out but the girl said to try after 5.00pm as it could be in the expected delivery.
So went up there again tonight - fighting the swarms on the way to the car, and then on the way into the shop - but Goibi wasn't in the delivery.  She checked on the computer and none left in stock anywhere apparently.  It must be good!

She gave me another one which she said had most of the same components - Autan protection plus - so we will see.
