Guadalest restaurants
« on: May 30, 2018, 21:38. »
Hi
I am booking a coach trip to Guadalest
in July with Daves Coaches. I want to book a restaurant separately for when we are there as there are 9 of us but not sure which one.  I need it to be near to where the coach drops us because of time limits and dont know how big Guadalest actually is.  Ive emailed the Coach Company but they were not very helpful - so does anyone have any recommendations, I’m guessing somewhere central as the trip must take us to the most touristy point.
Thanks in advance

Hi puddy-woo, we’ve tried a couple in the town centre, many years ago and didn’t return to either.....maybe we chose the wrong ones!!
We have visited Xorta however three or four times and always had a good meal, the shoulder of lamb is superb
It’s a 300 metre walk out of Guadalest, it’s in a lovely detached building with superb views down the valley
Hope this helps

Regards all

John

Weve eaten at the ones at the bottom of the village adjacent to the car park a couple of times, quite basic i recall and nothing to write home about. The tourists pile through thus area before the climb so easy pickings, if driving yourself dont get conned by the car park attendant,  lots of free parking.
They dont like it up em !

Ask for a table by the window puddy-woo, it’s worth it
I can’t believe that you’ve not visited Guadalest before.....make sure to walk all the way to the top, through the arch for the spectacular views over the bluest lake you will have ever seen

Try walking up through the hotel on the right  to the very top. My 82 year old dad did and I was panting at the end of it!

We visited Guadalest yesterday and had a meal at Xorta. Have to say it was fab. The owner was very nice (and accommodating to my fussy friend). Great views, good food and wine and price was very reasonable. Will defo return. Very good day out with Daves Coach Trips. Waterfalls on the way.  Recommend.
