Just back from a week in GA and surprised at how much rubbish is being left at the bins. The threat of fines hasn't made any difference.  >:(

Does the dog mess rule and fine apply to designated green areas which are not parks. How do they intend to control people who let their dogs out alone and call them back after they have emptied themselves on parks, pavements and green areas.

Hi All
I agree with all, but some one please tell me the law here when supermarkets opposite ( who we use) & rental establishments opposite our house put recyclable waste in general waste containers. and if there's no room place anywhere on ground till refuge trucks com at 17 00, but its left til next morning when Urbasa arrive.
The bins are full by midday, I ask why do commercial premises not deal with their own rubbish??? I know what we pay for " bins" being two 60 + but who is getting the best of a deal
Cheers
Jim

The day after a large amount of furniture was removed from the ones in market street, an official looking chap was see looking over boxes etc. that had been left on the ground. I think he was looking for some sort of sign regards where they had come from. Considering they were empty wine boxes, I'm sure a quick word with the businesses nearby would have at least go the message over, that its not acceptable. However, he moved on and inspected the other bins in the area. It obvious that during the summer season the bins in market street are not sufficient for the area.

We use the bins near BBVA bank and what annoys us is when we have paper waste, you can't put it in the bin because the local businesses don't flatten their boxes, they just put them in the bin whole, absolutely bone idle, only takes a couple of seconds to squash them down. !

2 Points:-
Firstly, commercial waste should not go into public bins.  Businesses should pay for their own.
Secondly, our bins are not on public roads so we pay for them.  We pay the extra to have 2 empties per day in the summer months.
That said, we still get stuff romper outside the bins.  It's a thing that won't change until a few times are imposed & enforced.

Wasn't aware regards commercial rubbish. The paper/cardboard bin on market street fills up very quickly once emptied and I often see people from the businesses in the area using these.
