Been booked for a while to come out in a couple of weeks for the 1st time since Jan, and was wondering what life is like at present?

From what I understand mask wearing in mandatory pretty much everywhere, does that include the beach?

Are most of the bars and restaurants open?

Everything is open, masks are mandatory everywhere, but once you are sitting down you can remove them!  It's obviously quieter than it would normally be in September, but still a good place to be (apart from today as it's raining!)  8)

It's a lovely place to be. Always is. If you come in two weeks (if) just be prepared to stay "a little while longer".

It's good to hear the testimonials that things are ok in GA going out in a week, when we booked thought we need a break just go for it.

Thought I might update for other who are coming over or thinking about it.  Life is pretty much as normal for September, other than:

You have to wear masks everywhere, except the beach, when exercising or a per UK now when sat down in bar/restaurants.
Most places you'd expect are open
Those who spoke have some extra restrictions, not sure what they are but think it's no smoking on bar terraces, which is a benefit for some of us :D
Only strange one so far is no hand baskets allowed in Mercadona but trollies are fine!!

Airport process took 30 seconds to get the QR scanned so all good on the whole.

Arrived in GA on Monday, bars are busier than I expected, I feel far more relaxed than I do at home.

Just landed at BHX after 18 days out in GA. It was great - weather was brilliant and I have to say I felt very safe. Lots of positive precautions being taken everywhere and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Beaches were great - and never too crowed (except Carabassi on Sat & Sun) but if you go down after 14:00 most of the locals were coming off for lunch / siesta.

All in all a good experience - Sept is the best month and it was a close thing whether we binned the flight and stopped for another week.

Now 14 days prison at home for my recklessness   :-X

I'm seriously thinking about coming over. Got 12 days left this year and flights are cheap as chips apart from half term.

Graham H , give it a go , we only made up our mind two days before the flight, in the end thought the hell with it we will go, today cloudy and 23°, walked the clot and saw booted and bonelli  eagles, they have been clearing the lakes of reeds, very nice, a greater expanse of water and a new hide .

Bank Holiday in Spain yesterday, Carabassi beach busy but everyone spaced out, no officials enforcing anything. Wonderful two weeks , normally come out first week of September but temperature is much better now averaging 26° rather than the 30 plus in early September. So looking forward to going home to Suffolk where it's going to be 10° on Monday.
