We noticed today that the butchers had reopened with new people...the meat and cheese we brought looked very good......

The previous butchers was also very good but sadly the permanent residents of GA dont support local small businesses very well they would rather put there money into multi nationals who pile it high and sell it cheap than support the independent who cant compete on price but only on quality and service.
They dont like it up em !

Sorry, always found the "service" was very Spanish, ie slow. However, good luck to the new tenants!  Will give them a try.

We always used the G. Alacant butcher and the quality was very good, as far as the service being "very" Spanish........
well bug**** me, I thought I was in Spain!! ::)

Butcher within Maxcoop (Unide) on Av. ecandavia is top notch, and very 'Spanish' get all meat from there faultless

We used the butchers there consistently. The "original" guy was very good, but the owners that had it before it closed were woeful, they was never any stock and they simply didn't seem to know what they were doing. Will try the new one, mostly because I try to support local business, but I have to say the meat counter in Consum will take some beating, it really is excellent, it seems to run as a proper little butcher (as opposed the meat counter in Mercadona for instance which is truly awful)
