Thank you Dave for your advice. I totally agree daytime noise is acceptable but night time isn’t. My neighbour opens and shuts her sliding wardrobe doors about 20 times in about an hour at times such as 11pm to 1am and stomps around on the tiled floor above me. It’s starting to drive me mad.  Apartment is rented so hoping she moves on at some point.  So I won’t waste my time trying to sound proof it. Maybe it’s time to find a detached property as sleeping at night for 3-4 nights in a week is a problem. Previous tenants we never heard but some are just so disrespectful

Hi Nicki, I've no experience of the Altcar apartments but I had a quad house on Costa Hispania and due to a noisy neighbour I soundproofed my downstairs bedroom that shared the party wall with theirs. I put up a 4" stud wall, and packed the space with the best soundproofing material I could buy. It made no difference whatsoever as the sound just goes around the wall via the floors, ceiling and any other shared construction.
Eventually, for that and other reasons, I moved into a detached villa in the campo with no near neighbours. General day to day noise I can manage but it's the inconsiderate noise that really irritates.

Hi has anyone sound proofed their apartment on Altomar 2. The noise from the apartments is getting crazy now.  Walls are so thin.  If so did you just do the ceilings or the walls as well and is it effective. It seems the older I get the less tolerant to noise. We can hear people walking upstairs opening and shutting the wardrobes it’s not very pleasant at all. We even looked at moving to a new apartment but not sure of that will be any different

Why not order online, quick and simple for either home delivery or click and collect.  Elche is easiest to get to.

General Discussions / Uk pension Martin Lewis show this week
« Last Post by Paublo on March 08, 2025, 14:41. »
Anyone watched martin Lewis show this week about uk pension. It might be of use to anyone who left uk and didn't have enough contributions for uk pension. You can actually find out how many contributions you are short and pay for them to leave you entitled. A relative of mine just done this and cost approx £2000. Money well spent. Cut off point i believe is 5 April. Just a heads up
