Have you heard about unattended Petrol outlets being "banned" by the Valencian Govt ? It's on a couple of forums

I love using the one near mercadona, very quick and easy to use.

There are quite a few of them about, a lot of them as the GA one have opened in the last couple of years.......would be very strange to see them closing

I dont think they have to close them, they just need a staff member there to help with any disabled people.
-
But surely it's the lack of staff that helps keep the cost down!!
If you need assistance you go to another filling station.

But that could been seen as discrimination.
You cant have cheap fuel because you are disabled.
(not necessarily my views but this I think is the argument)

What a load of tosh!!
I know it's not your view Phillip.
Let's replace all the menus in restaurants with little pictures of plates of food so we won't upset those who can't read

Is it not possible to have the same system as in the uk where if you need assistance you can press a buzzer reached from the vehicle and someone from inside will come out and assist, that way you most certainly do not need a full time person there just for the occasions when some who is disabled, and also alone, needs help.
When we had a car in ga, years ago, there was a man who filled your car up and took your money, I rather liked that, though I didn't personally need him to do it, and it does give someone else employment too.
And if someone can't read John, they can always learn.......

There is no one there, there is no one to come out and help you when you buzz, it is fully self service, there's no shop, no office, just fuel pumps and a machine where you pre pay for your fuel before filling up, hence lower costs and benefit passed onto customer with lower fuel costs

I believe it is to do with fire regulations. Interestingly, the staff only have to be present during the day!
-
Is the fuel station at the bottom of the hill as you leave ga for the n332 now fully automated, it used to have a shop with it too, or is there a different automated one, I can only think of the one and we will be hiring a car this time, for the first time in years.
-
The one we are referring to here, low cost, is in the Commercial Centre car park.
The Repsol station is still on the 333

Ah, thanks for that, we hadn't even noticed there was another one at the ga centre, will take notice the next time we are out.
-
At the petrol station on the entrance to GA you can have a loyalty card which reduces the pump price by 5 euro per litre. They will come to the car and fuel it for you if you wish.
-
Do you have to ask for the loyalty card I have never been offered one.

Blimey, 5 Euros off a litre, almost makes it worth the detour!

Hey, that's what they do in Turkey. Don't they do that in Yorkshire?
