Check out from time to time the flights from Valencia to Istanbul - only 150 euros return flight. And a bit different from seeing Granada or Alicante   :-)

Given recent events, I should imagine there will be quite a few cheap seats from many places to Istanbul.

I read the other day that ABTA are predicting a bumper year for Western Europe in 2016 due to the concerns that people have re other destinations

I was very slow not thinking about the bump Spain would get from the decline "elsewhere". Superb.

Well, Paris tourism seems to have gone up again, the Cologne carnaval seems to be well attended, and even London seems to have recuperated from the bomb attacks there some time ago  :-)

Of course, if your life is going to be dictated by the terrorists   :-)

I always joke with the airport security people that
(a) if someone wants to do an attack, no better place than the lines at the airport where your luggage is checked in or controlled
(b) I am sure the 9/11 attackers had shares in security companies.... Look at how the business boomed   :-)

Actually Istanbul airport is the fastest growing airport in Europe   :-)
And I find the flights are usually completely full. Simply like the place - a bit different   :-)
