Title: dunbars

Has anyone tried dunbars since it reopened earlier this year, ive just noticed on trip advisor that its ranked as number 2 in GA with numerous excellent reviews by low number reviewers. We ate here many years ago and it was nothing special,  now relaunched with same owners and its setting apparently new standards of cuisine. I just wondering if forum members can shed some light.

Good luck to them...but it would not of taken a lot to get to number 2.
14 votes for them.  If no one else is reviewing GA on there and they get 14 excellent votes, they will shoot up.
Its based on votes at the time...

We ate there when we were out last month, agree nothing special, run of the mill bar food. Down side had to send the prawns back as the were so over cooked, couldn't get them opened and the couple at the next table received the wrong drinks. Hopefully just teething problems

Think they need to raise game it's a different world since they first opened plenty of competition and loads chasing the tourists pounds

Quite amusing reading the reviews
jewell of fine british dining,  leader of the pack, super, delicious are just some of the recent reviews, yet no one on the forum has corroborated these impressive statement's
