?? Are there no parasols and sunbeds and little wooden walkways on the beach. We were there on 20 October last year and everything was there and still busy, I am due out with a friend in ten days and was hoping to show her beach days like my husband and I enjoyed last year.  Is this anything to do with the change of councillors do you think.

The parasols and beds are still there Hazel, we were down on the beach on Friday and it was very busy, but as you can see it was very quiet today

So glad the parasols etc are still there John, and I hope that it was just too windy as Sheila said and that had put people off. It's my friends first time ever in gran alacant and I've talked about it so much it just has to be fabulous, as I'm sure it will be.

Just left on Saturday following a really cracking week. The beach had gone quiet(er) but it was perfect with everything being open. It's the reason we bought to have time out there this time of the year. I have to have early August because of annual closure at work - but May, June and Sept Oct are the very best times of the year for us. 100% with you re May/June and September/October, definitely the best times of the year to holiday in GA

Arrived late Sunday night and haven't been down the beach yet. I do promise to do my bit and get down there though. Can't leave it to a few of you to bear the burden alone.  :)

I think everyone has come back!!
Like August on the Shirley Bassey the last couple of days.......although the sea is slightly more invigorating
