Title: Fairy Lights USA advice
Post by: Mildred on August 22, 2015, 12:52.
Hi, we were donated some Fairy Lights but they are from the USA.

Can anyone please tell me if adaptors are available to use in Spain and if so where can they be purchased?

Thanks
Susan

Maybe ask in Euronics or Brico they might be able to help.

Just a word of warning Susanna

The USA use 120 voltage.  Europe is 240 voltage.  If you plug in a 120 volt item to a 240 volt socket the item will blow!  I know this from experience.
A USA to European adaptor will not convert the voltage.  What is needed is a transformer reducer.
As previously posted - Euronics or Brico will advise.

Good Luck

Just to second that advise. They will overheat very quickly and will certainly blow. Throw them away.

I think I would chuck them not worth the risk of fire they probably had their own transformer etc and I doubt you will be able to identify it
