Just a bit further south. Summer has arrived in Scunthorpe, the rains a lot warmer today.
-
Just over the hills in Manchester you can almost touch the clouds...............but for a change it's not raining.
-
Don't want to upset you Graham, but I am sitting here in Ballyclare today with the sun shining through patchy cloud and 21 degrees, glorious day. 8)
Of course, it will never last..
Michael.

We're in England's smallest city, Wells, Somerset, glorious! We went to Weston Super Mare this morning, same there but very windy lots of people out paddling in the sea .
-
Never been lucky enough to see the sea at Weston - plenty of mud, though! And it's always windy.

We went to weston super mud over the weekend and its much improved, they've spent a lof of money revamping the seafront, well worth a visit

We did this with Dave's a couple years ago. Had some reservations about the itinery, but credit to the company, they made a superb fun time of it!
Sure you'll enjoy Puddy woo

Re daves coaches, I am out in October with my friend and would love to take her on a couple of day trips, does Dave still do day trips out of high season?
-
Yes he does. They have a website you can look at.

Just to cheer you all up
Its 22:43 hrs here in Ga and its 84 degrees :)
-
Well I think we had today in Essex what can only be called a monsoon hours and hours of torrential rain roads flooded everywhere
Roll on summer
-
Reminds me of the old saying
"It's the best day of the year - the English summer!"
-
Lol, I haven't heard that before, but it's true nonetheless this year in particular. The surfers on our beach at seaton Carew seem completely unaffected by weather, even mid winter when it's freezing they are there, never ceases to amaze me. Much more for us the weather in gran alacant, one of our daughters has been out the first two weeks of August and the other is there now so I can't wait to see the photos, they will have to keep us going till we get there again.

The last time I passed through Seaton Carew some joker had changed the name on the town's sign to "Seaton Canoe". I had to smile, something to do with the John Darwin disappearance i believe.
-
Yes that's right, it was a couple of years ago now and before we lived here, they have a great sense of humour and it's a friendly little seaside village, the only thing missing is the Spanish weather, and the outside life.
