How many times can you get on and off the GA train whilst still only doing one circuit? I ask because what we would like to do is get on the train at the
• Don Pueblo stop
• get off at the beach,
• then get on again at the beach stop a couple of hours later
• get off at the Playa Mayor stop for lunch
• then get on again at that stop or the Commercial Centre and get off at Don Pueblo, a round trip.
On one occasion we walked down to the beach and then caught the train a couple of hours later back to Don Peublo with the intention that we would use the other half of the ticket later that day as we intended to walk down to the Carabasi strip that night, then catch the train back up to Don Pueblo, but after getting on at the beach our ticket was hole punched at the Commercial Centre which we thought meant that you had already used your return journey and could not use it again so that night we walked back from the Carabasi.
Then the following year due to ill health my husband could not walk very far so we caught the train outside the Altomar 2 bars, got off at the beach, got back on a couple of hours later, our ticket was punched, then it was punched again at the Commercial Centre. I have a feeling that the ticket is hole punched also at stop number 1 if you are already on the train. How many hole punches are you allowed? Hope this makes sense!

I think it is one return ticket, on the same day..

HI
I have sent your mail to the train company. Will get back if I get an answer

i have used the train for many years, i usually use it in the morning, then again in the evening. there are 4 squares in the top left corner, when the 4th hole is punched you know you need another ticket for your next tram ride. i have never had to buy another ticket, most time the driver does not bother checking your ticket. just hold it in the air as he walks down the tram.

What happened to honesty and integrity

Here is the answer from the train company
About your questión.
The ticket is for one full tour , and valid for the day sold . Drivers
have different checkpoints along the route. Once the passenger makes the
entire tour the ticket is no longer useful .

@ian-steele I just want to be really clear here. Are you actually saying you avoid due payment of a €3.00 tourist train? I'm not being sarcastic, I am honestly asking in case I've misinterpreted your comment.

I read it as you and victor have gaveteran.

what i am saying gav is that i buy a 3 euro ticket, so when the 4th square is punched i know i need another ticket, but so far i have always completed my jouneys by then, the driver only seems to punch a ticket at centro or the town hall, as far as i am aware its a hop-on hop-off service for the day of purchase, no intertion of avoidig payment, i hold my ticket up as he walks down the train, its up to him to punch it or not, maybe because we use the train so often he is being kind.

Thank you for your replies. We will give it try when we are over next week. We will probably get off at Playa Mayor and get on at the Commercial Centre which should eliminate one hole punch!
