Title: Motorhomes
Post by: kevinb on March 24, 2025, 10:43.
I read on a local newspaper that the campervans that park up on the water front on the road  between Gran Alacant  and Santa Pola have been removed by the police, we saw a police car by two unaware vans and the were gone later, I reckon at times there were 300 vans along the waterfront between GA and SP, I've often wondered what happens  to sewage and waste water. Costa del Sol is having g problems now.

Most motorhomes can go 3 or 4 days before needing to empty their grey and black tanks, although I am aware that there are a number of irresponsible ones who park up for months without moving. As a former GA property owner and now motorhome owner, I can see things from both sides. I wouldn't want to see a total ban but I'm sure that a restriction to a max of 48/72 hours, perhaps with a nominal €5 Euro a night charge might resolve matters.

I think that the waterfront between GA and Santa Pola was in danger of being a travellers site, the view of the waterfront was being blighted by the sheer number of units, seems the police are now actively telling people to shift now, drove along that stretch of road yesterday and there was only a handful.
