apparently record rainfall at Alicante airport with a further weather warning for lots more in next 24 hours!
Is it that bad at present?

The rain set our cameras off a few times today, so must be pretty bad.

Just looked at my camera and it is pi***** down.

We were in GA for two weeks in January, had two and a half days when it poured down, seems to be a very wet winter.

I have to say from what I have seen on weather recording sites the rain is much needed. The trouble is that most of the needed water runs off into the drains and sea. The resevoirs are a fair bit inland

Arrived yesterday & there had been some heavy rain in area & today is glorious with warm sunshine 😀

I cannot imagine anything was a "record" around here. I might be wrong, perhaps extremely locally at the airport they had a tip down. In GA as far as I'm concerned "it rained". Nothing special about it. Couple of rumbles of thunder, occasionally heavy enough to "bounce" for a minute. That was it. no drama. About the same as happens in the UK 300 days a year haha.

Very strange light at moment in Alicante area, very yellow but cloudy & windy. Apparently there’s a lot of sand up in the clouds ready to come down later this week when it rains, just after I washed the patio!!
