So the Gaby Chinese shop is reopening nearby is that right ? Seems daft knocking that down and rebuilding elsewhere. Aldi could have gone on the wasteland next to that entrance road.  Plenty of supermarkets in GA now

Yes, the Gabe building is a couple of hundred metres from its original site, the building is up but nothing seems to be happening, no builders or vans around it.

Can’t believe they knocked the gabe market down I remember when it was built . It always surprises me how often buildings are started in Spain and knocked down a few years later, lots of them are never finished . For 25 years there were started buildings on the road going to the airport now they have been demolished so the road could be a duel carriageway , after all those years as just being concrete stacks . We have one on our development near the pool it was intended to be a bar but it’s never been finished in the 22 years since we moved in

I do recall that the building occupied by the tat shop aka Gabe was originally built around 2009 for the Erioski supermarket then came the financial crash a period of being vacant then the bazaar opened. Clearly the land is now being repurposed for Aldi’s flagship store in comparison I don’t think the Gabes pockets are deep enough to warrant the new build, I’m sure the truth will eventually bubble out.
