Title: Do Banks charge for this?
Post by: Derek on October 08, 2021, 09:48.
Hi

When someone wants a mortgage  to buy a property in Spain and their bank arranges to do an appraisal (Valuation) by visiting the house do they charge for this service and if so how much is the likely cost?

We purchased using our own funds so don't know if the banks charge for this. In the UK I think they do.

Thanks

Derek

The bank appoints a valuer and the client pays the cost of it. Valuations cost somewhere between €350 & €400.
