By the look of it it's a 3 bed coral built by masa so it is probably. Somewhere on the left as you come up the big hill from the roundabout . Go down the road opposite the old maxcoop (no called unide) and it will be somewhere in the urbanisations on the left

Clicked the link to the OP property site and I recognise the view across the road to it from some of the extra photos. Not a bad price for where it is

Made me laugh in the description where it asks ,is it near the golf course, answer no. Thats just rubbing salt in the wound as i can bet the original developer mentioned the golf course was due to be built any day soon in 2001.

They were among the later builds, so at that price it is less than original cost.

You're right, Tony.  As I recall, that's approximately half price.
Indicative of the deals that are available at the moment to purchasers.  Quite sad for vendors though especially given the exchange rate (if you're Brit) slightly worse than it was.
Our philosophy is to disregard cash value & rejoice in the enjoyment we get from the place & being here.

If that is one of the white ones up where Cocoas is I believe there is a monthly service charge, what with it being a block of flats so to speak, and apparently the fees are quite steep!!

I suspect the market will be like this for years to come, with GA having a generally older non spanish property owner looking to sell up at any cost

That's a good point but Gran Alacant has fared better than many along he costas and has the fabulous combination of being very well kept and pretty, beachside with lovely wooded walkways and many beach bars in the summer, next to the fab prom of arenales and Santa pola with the city of Alicante just ten minutes ride away, and all just ten minutes ish from the airport.  These are combinations that make it much more attractive than other places and while prices have dropped, they are holding better than others and I believe Ga will always be an attractive buy.

Hi Sunseekers, you are absolutely spot on with your comments. Myself and Mrs. Iron still pinch ourselves every time we arrive in GA and never want to go home. We first bought over 15 years ago and never tire of the area.

Just across from us a neighbour has called his place "This'll do". Couldn't agree with him more, arrived here on Sunday and felt like I was where I should be  :)

The distance from the airport was the first pull for us into GA, as the wife was pregnant and we did not not want to drive that year, (we holidayed and had family in xabia for 10 years)
But I do love GA its just laid back, lovely beach, beautiful city of Alicante 20 mins away. 10 mins from airport...thinking about traveling half a day then driving 2hrs after just's puts me off going any where else.

In total agreement with replies GA must rank as one the best areas on the costa blanca, and we undoubtedly have fared a lot better than some areas which may not recover for a generation with partially built developments now mothballed. The point i was trying to make is that there are always going to be sellers desperate to sell at nearly any price, if i was a buyer now i would be looking to take the opportunity of someone who needs to sell immediately and negotiate a bargain.

You're absolutely right victor.
The short distance from the airport was definitely a big pull for us but we think it just has everything, and beautifully done too.  Long may we all continue to enjoy it here.
