Thinking of having our own dish for Freesat on our house in GA, would appreciate any personal recommendations for installers.

Gran Alacant TV did ours. They're up by Altomar 2, opposite the new market. Speak to Asun if she's still there. Very good service and no problems since installation.

Before changing to fibre I always used Diginova, never any problems, Gaston was always very good.

Useful to have a comparison.

If you have the space for a 1.8 metre dish you will get a more reliable signal from the satellite . The 1.4 metre dish tends to lose reception during bad weather.
I have had the 1.8 dish for 9 years and it’s been excellent.

Yes, would prefer a 1.8 or 1.9 but getting one of those sitting on the solarium past my wife may be a problem.

With satellite size does matter long term, weve had a 1.9m on the roof for 16 years, running an old sky box which we upgrade from back home every couple of years, get all the uk channels same as in england. Due to size even when signal gets weak which it does at various times of year, the signal is still sufficient to run the box.
