Just tried to log in this morning and see my November bill - no good. Its just showing bills upto Summer 2016
Anyone else having similar problems ?
I know they were going for a name change but didnt think that would affect the online portal ....
-
I’ve managed through curenergía.es.
-
Received our bill from Iberdrola on the 27th November by email attachment as normal.
-
same here received by email and clicked pdf to print it, was worried however that the place was empty but was showing a small usage, now i wonder if i left something on when i left !,
-
Our bill was for 17.23 including IVA and 'servicios y otros conceptos'.
Think this must be a standing charge because our casa is also empty and has the power turned off - having twice over the years had a power trip which left the freezer to defrost and us/family being greeted on our return to the most evil smelling mess ever! Lesson learnt the hard way.

We had the same evil mess greet us in October, now power completely off as is the water at the metre.

That is funny we have a meter to monitor our water and electricity!

Yes Derek, as well as turning off the electricity we also turn off the water from outside. Then the final task is to spray bug killer around the rooms before locking up the casa.

Ooops - that should have said 'Yes Wilson'

Not sure if it's a subject not spoken about but this year has been the worst in nearly 20 years for roaches, we even early in the year emptied the whole house outside leaving an empty shell and did room by room sealing potential entry routes, took the kitchen and bathroom apart to seal pipes etc, sealed ceiling lights and aircon units but still on arrival back weeks later found roaches either dead or running around. Its becoming an obsession now over who will win, i think some neighbours on puerto marino are having the same issue but as residents are able to sort it out there and then.

That would be my worst nightmare Wilson. Our casa is lower Monte Mar and, thankfully we have never had a problem with roaches but I know that could be just good luck. Those tiny ants - yes, the odd silver fish - yes. Hope you win the battle.
-
no prob with cockroaches or ants, but silver fish along skirting board yes, they are so quick have fun catching them though. We are near maxcoop
-
Strangely this year we haven't had a roach problem, it's been better since I wrapped a very fine mesh round the louvres on the solarium mounted ventilation stack.
-
We did the same with our ventilation stack some years ago - after a bird fell in and we heard it through the vent in our shower room.
After removing the cover on the vent, and with a bit of guidance from my husband impersonating a bull fighter with a cape, the bird flew out of the front door to the safety of the sky once again. Thank goodness we were at the house when it happened.

We use to have a big issue with silverfish. Ended up putting boric acid (cheap of eBay) around the edges of the floor in all rooms, and it seems to be working. No idea if it would work against ants or cockroaches as never seem to have issues with them.
-
Lets know how it goes Sookie
It might be an idea to start a different thread to share tips for getting rid of pesky beasties, like silverfish etc. We have taken over the original Iberdrola thread so a lot of folks might miss this subject.

We started using Diatomaceous Earth about two years ago and it works wonders on the silverfish and ants both inside and out; if you put it on the route of an ant run they disappear within days. Gets the roaches as well but as death isn't instantaneous you only know you got them when you stop seeing them (perhaps they crawl away to die). We put it all over when we leave and always inside the cupboards when we go. You can also use it on plants to stop bugs. It has the consistency of talc.
Readily available on Amazon / Ebay and we use the food grade as it has no adverse effects on humans; just avoid breathing it in as inhalation of crystalline silica is harmful to the lungs and prolonged exposure can cause silicosis

A thread for tips would be a great idea.
The boric acid seems to be working for us. Seems similar to the stuff Dave uses, but it’s a very fine powder. the little sods use to be all over the place. Not been out now since October, so will be interesting to see how it all is in Jan when we go back. I placed fresh acid around all the skirting before we left, so a tell tale sign would be dead silverfish in the rooms. Last time we done this there were only a few dead ones, and no live ones munching away on my books or hiding in the cupboards.
Another tip for any nasty smells in the house or in the fridge freezer after the delights of coming back after a power cut is cat litter. Have used it a few times, but now it’s fridge and freezer off before we come home.
