Torrevieja and Calpe have been found to be in the top six poorest towns in Spain with an average persons income of just over €7k a year.

Doesnt add up really as both towns on the surface seem quite affluent, maybe the tens of thousands of ex pats scew the figures. Cant imagine that the annual tax return shows much income.
